Job Description:

We are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager for a company based in Basingstoke that deal with lighting products and solutions.

Your main responsibilities will involve identifying new sales / leads, maintaining strong relationships with existing customers and pitching the company's products/services.

Your duties will include:

  • Researching organisations to identify new leads and potential markets
  • Contacting potential clients via phone and email to establish rapport and set up meetings
  • Planning and overseeing future marketing campaigns
  • Developing relationships with existing customers
  • Manage CRM system
  • Deliver training to business developers and junior sales team
  • Writing reports and making presentations
  • Preparing quotations and sales contracts
  • Forecasting sales targets and ensuring they are met

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent time management and organisation
  • Great attention to detail
  • Able to provide strong leadership to a team of sales people.
Previous experience working in this role within the lighting industry would be beneficial.
